It has been sometime since this blog has been updated.
My shares in Slipper Island are no longer for sale at this point in time.
The refusal by company management to supply documentation relative to the pending sale as requested and allowable under the NZ Companies Act, misleading information received, issues regarding the operation of the island and company, threats about this website and other important matters have led to this decision.
I am currently receiving advice on the next steps that need to be taken to sort out my position.
Thank you to those of you that expressed a interest in purchasing my shareholding in Slipper Island and others that made contact with additional information and advice.
Just over 12 months ago I gave notice to the company management and other existing shareholders of my intention to sell my shares in Slipper island. This notice allowed the company and other shareholders 12 months to purchase my shares, before I could sell them on the open market. No interest was expressed within this 12 month period, so the option to negotiate with other interested parties became available.
My shareholding in Slipper Island consists of the following:
A 7.1% share in the Island (equates to approx 38 acres), lodge, chalets, income, house, buildings, plant, current development and any future development. This shareholding is held with shares in the private company Slipper Island Resort Ltd.
The sale also includes the slipperisland.com domain name to the successful purchaser to set up their own website.
Negotiations and Due Diligence is continuing with a number of interested parties, with a decision likely to be made soon on the best option available for the sale of my shareholding to a third party.
Slipper Island is owned by myself and 5 other shareholders. These shares are held by a New Zealand Limited Liability Company – Slipper Island Resort Ltd. (Formerly, Whakahau Holdings Ltd)
These details are publicly viewable at the New Zealand Companies Office website .
Welcome to the Slipper Island dot com blog. I am currently a shareholder and part owner in Slipper island and will be updating this site with information, news and current developments…past and present. Stay tuned.
